What is the future of flight? Hint: it's not big quadcopters or urban air mobility sky Ubers for the uber rich. It's not the flying car. That's been here since the first Cessna skywagon, known in the community as “the Flying Toyota Corolla”. Anyone who wants to fly their plane then drive it on the streets, then fly it again is crazy.

So what then? We're re-thinking flight from the ground up, like Tesla did with cars. Rules? Made to be broken. No one has really taken a crack at starting over with all the new technology, people have been adding technology to the existing platforms… but the world has changed. You can't teach a dinosaur to type.

No, the pain point that keeps most people earthbound is the exceptional pilot shortage and rarity of certified flight instructors. There's a few flight experience opportunities on the market and they are always fully booked. The market is real. It just can't scale. Not with humans at the stick anyway.

We're looking for folks who can (or are learning to) code, folks who can model and simulate, folks interested in pioneering use cases for machine learning and AI, in order to make the personal experience of flight 100% safe and accessible to all by developing an FAA certified AI flight instructor. Guess what, the weight savings opens up all kinds of engineering space to make the planes themselves more fun. No need to balance cruise efficiency with maneuverability and safety. A new mission: pure fun!
